Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information LiteTools collects when you use our tools, what we deliberately do not collect, and what rights you have over your data. Last updated: 20 October 2026.
1. Our core commitment: local processing
Every tool on this site is implemented entirely in the browser. All calculation and file processing happens on your device. Anything you type — text, numbers, images or files — is never transmitted to our servers, and we have no ability to access it.
In practice: the loan amount in our mortgage calculator, the height and weight in our BMI calculator, the figures on your payslip, and the file you selected for compression all stay on your machine.
2. What we do collect
We require no account and do not actively collect your name, phone number, identity documents or any personal identifying information. Data processing occurs only in the following limited cases.
Local storage
Some tools use your browser’s local storage to remember preferences such as default input values or your chosen units. This data exists only on your device and is removed whenever you clear browser data. We cannot read it and it is never synced to a server.
Access logs
Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records standard request logs including IP address, browser type, timestamp and referrer, used for security, DDoS mitigation and aggregate traffic analysis. These are retained according to the provider’s standard policy. We do not use them to identify you personally and we do not use them for advertising segmentation.
First-party cookies
The site itself currently sets no first-party tracking cookies.
3. Advertising and third-party cookies
This site displays advertising through Google AdSense. Google and other advertising partners may place cookies or use similar technologies in your browser.
Google AdSense and the DoubleClick cookie
Ads served on this site are provided by Google as its AdSense partner:
- Google uses the DoubleClick cookie to serve ads here. When you visit this or any other site in the Google Ads network, DoubleClick may write a cookie in your browser.
- Google may serve personalised advertising based on your activity here and elsewhere on the web.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time via Google Ads Settings, or manage third-party ad preferences at aboutads.info.
- Browser extensions such as uBlock Origin can block third-party cookies. Advertising will then fail to display, but no tool functionality is affected.
Ad content and responsibility
We do not select which ads appear and we do not endorse any advertised product. Clicking an ad takes you to a third-party site whose content and privacy practices are that site’s own responsibility.
4. Data retention periods
- What you enter — used and discarded immediately. Computation happens in your browser; we do not receive, store or recover it.
- Local preferences — remain on your device until you clear browser data.
- Access logs — retained by Cloudflare under its anti-abuse policy, typically no longer than 24 hours.
- Third-party advertising data — managed by Google and other networks under their own privacy policies, linked from their advertising settings pages.
5. Your rights
Because we neither collect nor store personal identifying information, most rights can be exercised directly in your browser:
- View or delete local data — clear this site’s local storage and cookies through your browser settings.
- Opt out of ad personalisation — use the Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info links in section 3.
- Withdraw consent — using these tools requires no consent at all, since no data is collected.
- Questions about logs — contact us via the contact page.
We do not sell, rent or share personal information, and there is no situation requiring separate consent for cross-border transfer.
6. Third-party links and services
Some pages link to third-party sites, or load third-party services such as Google AdSense. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Their terms and policies govern your relationship with them.
7. Children
This site does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please use the site with parental guidance.
8. Policy updates
This policy may be revised from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with the “last updated” date shown at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on the page.
9. Contact
For any question about this policy or our data handling, use the email address on our contact page.
